Being the sad man I am I went to see this at my local cinema on their very first showing on the first day of preview screenings. Anyway...

I take my Simpsons negativity back. I didn't think I'd ever find The Simpsons funny again but I really enjoyed it. I've been wishing for them to kill the show off for a while but I'm even convinced now there could be life left in it yet if they were to concentrate their efforts on 90 minute movies at time rather than 22 episode series.

The first half of the film is funnier than the second and it's a shame that some major characters didn't have more of a role to play (although completely expected as there are so many to fit in) but it was still really good and not the disaster I had envisaged, for the most part the jokes worked which was great to see again. I stand by my belief that this could have been even better if done during the show's prime but The Simpsons at least got a worthy movie.

Oh and everyone who goes to see it will fulfill a lifelong ambition of seeing Bart Simpson's penis so if you don't happen to enjoy the film as much as I did you're at least getting your money's worth for that.

I'm baaaaaack!

I hate the new Simpsons episodes but I absolutely LOVE the film. They obviously listened to the people complaining and concentrated on making the film more funny as it used to be. 'Spider Pig', chainsaw, Ralph's parts, the animals part, it was all very funny. And nobody in the cinema spoke or did anything anti-social. It was awesome.

I agree with both you guys, the film was very enjoyable but in my opinion they could have done a lot more with the movie concept. It just felt like a long Simpsons episode to and not the extravaganza i was hoping for. I'm not knocking the film, i'm just saying there could have been more.

I throught the first 30 minutes was great with plenty of comedy.Once the actual story started through the tone of the movie dropped but was still a very enjoyable movie. My biggest complaint was lack of characters with big parts.I'm guessing this is due to the makers not wanting to pay to many of the voice actors. My favourite scene had to be between Abu and Burns when asking him to look into his heart.

I saw the film and I was quite surprised, considering that it was much funnier than what I expected. Especially with how lame the newer episodes have been.

The funniest scenes I thought were when The Simpsons were entering church and you hear Homer rantinga about how he hates it. Then when they enter they're all staring at them and Homer is like "hey, how are you?" and "good to see you." and my favourite "Praise Jebus!" But other scenes were just as funny. And the scenes where Homer was fixing the roof were just plain hilarious, too.
