I recently took the plunge and purchased myself a PS3 courtesy of a snazzy offer in Argos that got me the console, an extra control pad and two game for £399. There was a slightly better offer on Play.com but I wanted to go through Argos to get an extra three year cover plan for it, I can't bare the thought of losing a £400 console after just a year.

Anywaaaaay, it is as expected the greatest thing I have ever owned. I'm currently really digging Motorstorm which is endless fun in online mode. I'll soon be getting Virtua Tennis 3 as well through a LoveFilm rental as I'm addicted to the demo I have of that.

What's everyone else playing?

*wants a PS3 for when Final Fantasy XIII comes out* The last thing I played on my noisy old PS2 was Okami - beautiful game with unique artwork. Otherwise I've been completely sucked into Guild Wars online, even though I swear alot when I fail a mission. laugh.gif

I still find it fascinating to play in a dynamic world, where things get changed and added, prices fluctuate - and you never save. But I'm just geeky like that. biggrin.gif The first proper expansion, Eye of the North, is out on August 31st, so I might treat myself to that for my birthday.

I can't afford the PS3 dry.gif Normal price in Denmark (without games or extras stuff for it, only the console itself): £500. That's the double of what I get in my so-called paycheck monthly O_o

These past few days, I dug out an old PS2 game called, Shadow Of Memories. The purpose of the game is to go back in time and prevent your own death, however, if you can't find the killer, he will simply kill you over and over again. When you die, some demon named Homunculos lets you travel back to an earlier time to prevent that death, but you'll most likely be killed again 30 mins later O_o

I had played for 4 hours straight and I was in chapter 7 of 9, which is VERY near the end. I had found who my killer was and I was supposed to meet him at the town square. And before I even got there, I got killed... and Homunculos suddenly decided he wouldn't let me travel anymore (which had never happened to me before in the 5 years I've owned the game) so I was suddenly game over and I was like "WHAAAT?! I had my killer!!! DAMMIT!!!" and then I shut off the console dry.gif damn thing

I dug out some other older games aswell, including, Soul Calibur 3, Tekken 5 and Gran Turismo 3. Those will be fun to play again happy.gif since there's no actual "Game Over" part of them laugh.gif

Good luck, the Japanese would rather get crabs than get a 360. Hardly anywhere will sell it.
